Sustaining Maternity Services at Upper River Valley Hospital
The labour and birth unit at Horizon’s Upper River Valley Hospital (URVH) provides vital maternity services to Waterville and surrounding area.
Horizon Health Network (Horizon) is committed to maintaining these services, and we want to hear from patients, families, clinicians, and staff to understand how we can continue to provide quality care through sustainable maternity services at URVH. Your feedback is important to help inform how maternity services can continue to meet the needs of your community for years to come!
In-person workshops are being held to gather input from the community about how Upper River Valley Hospital’s maternity services can be sustained well into the future.
Session information
During these in-person workshops, participants will be asked to share about their experiences accessing maternity services at Horizon’s URVH, and to their thoughts on how maternity services can be maintained.

Registration information and privacy
Each group discussion will be two hours in length.
Participation in group discussions is limited to adults aged 18 and over. However, caregivers of children and youth are welcome to attend.
Your personal information will be collected by Engage Delaney in accordance with the New Brunswick Right to Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
Accommodations will be provided as needed. This information will be collected, and the project team will report on the number and type of accommodations requested.
Honourarium
Recognizing the value of your lived experience and expertise, a $65 honourarium will be provided for two-hour workshops.
To provide you with an honourarium, we will be collecting your name and email. This information will not be shared with anyone outside Engage Delaney, and this data will be destroyed once honourarium payment has been confirmed.
