As one of New Brunswick’s two regional health authorities, Horizon Health Network (Horizon) operates 12 hospitals and more than 100 medical facilities, clinics, and offices throughout the province. Our Strategic Plan guides us to ensure we build upon our previous work while continuing to deliver quality and safe care to our patients, clients, and their families.
Horizon is developing a new 2025-2030 Strategic Plan to articulate how our organization will perform over the next five years. This plan will also outline the required changes to achieve our vision of providing exceptional care to every person, every day.
Based on initial planning with Horizon’s Board of Directors, senior leadership team, and our staff and physicians, we have developed the following four strategic pillars (or focus areas):
Transformative Community Care: Partner with communities to build healthier populations.
Excellence in Hospital Care: Transform the delivery of clinical care to meet evolving health care needs.
People at Their Best: Create a healthy, safe, and inclusive environment for our team to excel and grow.
Trusted Partner in Research and Innovation: Enable scalable health research and innovation to advance care.
These pillars will be achieved through seven enablers, including:
Continuous Improvement
Financial Sustainability
Evidence-Driven Decision-Making
Organizational Culture
Strategic Partnerships
Environments
Technology.
Quality and Safe People-Centred Care is central to the success of our Strategic Plan.
To further inform our projects and initiatives over the next five years, we want to hear from our patients, clients, partners, and other members of the communities we serve.
The survey is anonymous and will take about 5-10 minutes to complete. Survey responses will be accepted until Wednesday, March 19 at 4 p.m.
